They have spent their careers working in government for progressive officials, but now they work or lobby for Facebook, while Facebook profits off of hate and undermines our democracy.
Facebook hasn't done enough to stop the spread of racist hate and misinformation, and does not have the best interests of the American people at heart. And those who represent its interests shouldn't be eligible to serve in any position in government or in a Biden transition.
Facebook lobbyists must decide whether to continue advocating for a platform that incites violence and extremism, or doing what's right.
It's time to put our democracy over Facebook's profits.
